The Kaffeehaus, originating from the Austro-Hungarian area, was introduced in Tuscany between the late 18th and 19th centuries with the arrival of Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo di Lorena. In Peccioli, the Kaffeehaus was located in the area known as "del giardino," between the ancient Porta Volterrana and Lambercione Street. This location provided a panoramic view of the Serre countryside. The neoclassical-style building was constructed in the early 19th century and was owned by the Dufour Berte family. Near this building, some constructions have been restored, giving rise to a contemporary panoramic structure, a kind of "window" overlooking the Fondi Rustici property, tangibly representing the typical characteristics of Tuscany.
