Parish of Saints Giusto and Bartolomeo

Pieve dei Santi Giusto e Bartolomeo

The Parish Church of Saints Giusto and Bartolomeo is a building dating back to the 12th century and is first mentioned in 1139 in relation to the sale of lands in Legoli by Count Pannocchieschi to the Church of Volterra.

The parish church was restored along with its original layout and the bell tower after the Second World War. In 2010, it underwent an extensive restoration and improvement project.

The terrace of the Parish Church, dedicated to Saints Giusto and Bartolomeo, offers an extraordinary panoramic view of the entire Alta Valdera.
From this vantage point, the panorama extends all the way to Peccioli and its hamlets, including Fabbrica and Libbiano, and on clearer days, you can even catch a glimpse of the peaks of the Apuan Alps.
